About the event
Big feelings can be difficult to understand, for children and grown-ups alike. Through story, conversation, songs, and play, we'll explore what it means to comfort a friend, share our feelings, and be present for others. Together we'll practice empathy, kindness, and the power of listening.
Featured Book: The Rabbit Listened by Corri Doerrfeld
When Taylor experiences a disappointment, many animals try to help in different ways. But Rabbit offers something special: quiet companionship and a listening ear. This gentle story helps children understand that sometimes people don't need solutions—they need to feel heard.
Activity: Super Listener Bunny Ears
Children decorate oversized bunny-ear headbands and practice using their "super listening ears" during interactive games and partner activities.
