Service Description

Creative Writing Club is a space for teen writers to build creative writing skills, confidence, and explore new ways of telling stories. Whether you’re into poetry, short stories, scripts, or essays. This club is about finding your voice and having fun with words. What Happens at CWC? Develop a theme Explore different writing styles Participate in peer critiques and feedback sessions Jump into quick art/writing warmups to get the creativity flowing Work together to create a collaborative magazine Guidance & Support Writers receive editing support and guidance from a facilitator throughout the process. The Final Result At the end of each session, you’ll hold a physical and digital magazine featuring everyone’s work. It’s something to be proud of, share with friends and family, and even include in a college portfolio. Exceptional contributors may also have the chance to write for Midsummer Books as teen freelancers for all things YA lit! Details First session starts October (exact dates TBD) Evening sessions (1x per week, 6 weeks) Requires 5+ students to run (we may run 2–3 small groups depending on interest) Scholarship space offered each session to keep cost accessible Introductory price: $125 (discounted from $175)
