Mayhem & Mystery MG Book Club

Service Description

A monthly book club just for middle grade readers (ages 8–12) who are ready for a little mayhem, in the best way! Each session includes a carefully chosen book that kids will love, plus a themed game or craft, a collectible bookmark, and other fun activities that bring the story to life. Middle Grade Mayhem is all about sparking a love of reading, making new friends, and celebrating the joy (and chaos!) of great books together. Our October pick will be The Swifts by Beth Lincoln This witty, mysterious, and adventurous middle grade story has tons of quirky characters, wordplay, and friendship themes. Kids love it because it’s funny but also layered, with just enough mystery to keep pages turning. Activities included: “Create Your Swift Name” Game – In the book, characters’ names come from the dictionary. Kids can pick a random word from a dictionary to “rename” themselves for the night. Craft - While we chat about the book, we will craft small, decorative boxes to look like secret compartments or safes. Inside each box, book club members will hide a small "clue" for other book club members to solve.
