Blackout poetry is part art, part word puzzle, and part magic trick. We will explore how to “discover” poems hiding inside book pages by blacking out words, highlighting the ones that matter, and turning them into something totally new.

About the event
We will mix words and visuals to create one-of-a-kind poems using blackout poetry techniques. We’ll talk about mood, tone, and how small word choices can change meaning—then feel free to experiment freely with markers, shapes, and design. No previous poetry experience necessary.
Snacks and bevs will also be included!
