Teen Book Club (Ages 13+) Featured Book: Legendborn

Blending contemporary fantasy with Arthurian legend and Black Southern history, Legendborn is a powerful story about identity, grief, and reclaiming inherited systems of power. In this teen book club, we’ll explore Bree’s journey as she uncovers hidden magic, secret societies, and long-buried truths, all while navigating questions of belonging and justice.

Our discussion will dig into themes of legacy, race, chosen family, and what it means to challenge traditions that exclude.

Expect thoughtful conversation, big ideas, and space for teens to share their interpretations in a supportive, inclusive environment.

This is a two part event. First we meet up to get a copy of the book and discuss the books themes and read the first chapter together to discuss what we think will happen next. A follow up meeting is scheduled so we can all discuss what we have read.
