How to Release Music:

A Live Book Release & Performance Event

Dr. Kat Reinhert and Dr Sarah Gulish sit in a music studio

Meet Sarah Gulish & Kat Reinhert

At Midsummer Books, we love events that sit at the intersection of creativity, courage, and community—and this one hits all three. Join us at Midsummer Books for an inspiring evening with educators, songwriters, and creative mentors Dr. Sarah Gulish and Dr. Kat Reinhert, celebrating the release of their new book, How to Release Music: A Guide for Educators, Mentors, and Artists—plus live music.

Sarah and Kat don’t just talk about making art; they talk honestly about what it means to share your work, take up space, and build something sustainable over time. Whether you’re a musician, educator, writer, or creative human figuring out your next step, this evening is about demystifying the process and reminding you that your work deserves to be seen and heard.

Plus: a book talk and live performance? Yes, please.

A Roadmap for Releasing Creative Work

How to Release Music is a practical, encouraging guide for artists who are ready to move from writing songs to sharing them with the world.

Blending step-by-step strategy with candid conversations about mindset, identity, and sustainability, the book offers a clear roadmap for independent artists—without the gatekeeping, jargon, or burnout culture that often surrounds the music industry. While written with musicians and educators in mind, its lessons resonate with anyone navigating the leap from private creativity to public release.
