About the event
This week introduces children to storytelling traditions from West Africa through the adventures of Anansi. Along the way, we'll explore pattern, color, design, and the ways stories can be shared through art.
Featured Story: Anansi the Spider
Anansi stories are beloved folktales that celebrate cleverness, creativity, and oral storytelling traditions that have been passed down for generations.
Activity: Kente Cloth Web Art
We will create colorful woven artwork inspired by traditional patterns while designing decorative spider webs and exploring storytelling through visual design.

Ages: Best for children approximately 18 months–5 years old Our toddler and preschool classes are designed as shared caregiver-and-child experiences. Each session includes stories and hands-on creative activities inspired by books and our weekly themes. Caregiver Participation Required A parent, grandparent, nanny, or other caregiver must remain with their child for the duration of the class. These classes are not drop-off
